Alsea Fllas Campground
I've been to Alsea Falls a number of times but this was my first time booking the tent-only sites. Site#2!!
Be sure and map out your directions before you get there because you will lose service at camp. To get there you have to park in the day parking area and walk about 150 feet to your spot.
Although the multiple trips back and forth were annoying, it was cool to have the space to myself. I stayed for 2 days and was grateful to find a spot w/ wifi about 3 miles from camp.
In the middle of my own forest, I left a bit of sparkle behind at 1 Of my top 8 campgrounds in Oregon.

Alsea Falls Campground is tucked away in a beautiful forest with easy access to waterfalls via well maintained trails. Four stars because it's sweet and simple.

A beautiful campground! Amazing old growth forest and shallow creek runs alongside the campground. Pleasant people in camp, respectful and kept to themselves. Nice clean pit toilets stocked with toilet paper and no smell. Off the grid, no cell phone service or signal, no electrical hookups no huge RV's allowed. No cutting down trees allowed but you can buy firewood from the bins on the honor system. Great place to unwind and enjoy the scenery!

It's just too bad that someone knows you have to leave your car by itself and they BREAK YOUR CAR WINDOWS and STEAL EVERYTHING you have to leave behind. I don't suggest you camp at the "walk in sites" because everyone that camped with us this weekend was a victim. Beautiful spot to be it's just sad that people have to ruin it.

Spent a week camping here at Alsea Falls Campground, over the Labor Day week. Was very nice, but very busy on the holiday weekend! The campground itself is lovely, more remote and small, only 16 sites and not for large trailers or motorhomes! No hookups. Has pit toilets that are kept very clean and sanitized by the camp hosts and trash service. The sites are well kept, no trash! It is perfect for the tent, van or small trailer campers! Had alot of mountain bike riders as the trailhead is just about a block or so down the street from the campground. Only had one family that had noisy, crying kids and barking dogs, but they finally left on Monday Labor Day! Yay!!! It was SO peaceful after they had gone home! We enjoyed our stay here, and you have to make reservations on Recreation.gov website, ($12 per night), as spaces fill up quickly during the summer! During the weekdays you may get to snag a "first come, first serve" walk-up site, but I would make a reservation to be sure! 😁👍
