Beautiful little hike to the falls. There's a new fresh hike that we started then realized I didn't feel comfortable with little kids to take the hike with them. If your a person that hikes then it's perfect but not for little kids.

Had an amazing day Hiking Alsea Falls this afternoon with my hiking buddy from McMinnville Oregon. This hike was Short but packed a lot of punch and the white water combined with the falling snow was almost magical. There are several camp sites and restrooms and an abundance of beautiful scenery to keep you in the moment making it easier to leave the world behind just for a moment. I'd definitely check out this beautiful location and forget about life for a while....

Pretty falls. Fall water flow made for great access to many different views. Could tell spring flow is far heavier. It may require a second, spring, visit. I had a couple hours of peaceful photography and listening to the falls. Add pics later.

This is a beautiful retreat for a day and a short drive from Corvallis. There are many varieties of trees and plants to view, my favorites are the ferns. The trail is not long and mostly flat until you go down to the bottom of the falls but it isn't a difficult trek. The steps are high so it might somewhat of a challenge for those with short legs. Bring a camera and play with the setting for speed, I got some cool shots with the shutter speeds down around 1/2 a second. Bring a lunch as there are picnic tables to rest at. Great place highly recommended.
