The location is great, and the property has real potential if the owner is willing to invest time and money. The rooms need deep cleaning, including windows, the linens need replacing. Our ‘fridge had one temp - FREEZE, microwave was dirty. The property is huge - the owners would be advised to shut most of the rooms and get them up to par while keeping enough rooms open to keep a cash flow. The restaurant is closed - either close it permanently or lease it out to someone. The pool and hot tub are unusable due to slime, mold & algae - clean them up or stop advertising them as part of the resort. Clean up & green up the outdoors area (which is huge) and furnish tables, chairs & benches. An outdoor play area for kids. Pet area. It is a terrible misnomer to call this a resort when there is no where to relax. The staff was great, but they can only do so much when the owners don’t care about their property. This place will be bankrupt if the owners don’t invest in it. So disappointed. I would rather stay home than stay at Alsi Resort. A total waste of my money.
Like people have said. This place needs some investment in staff and maintenance. Based on the price it was very disappointing. Pool is green and landscape is not maintained. Our room was fine but there was no maid service done. I will not return. Hopefully they will turn it around soon. There was lots of parking. If price was better it would be fine as a better than average budget motel.
The staff is amazing. Wonderful people. The views are fantastic. The pool looked great. I just didn’t ever have a chance to get in it so I can’t tell you anymore. I never tried the restaurant either. However, the rooms are a bit lacking and outdated but as they say, location, location, location. great parking lot. There is an issue with being able to hear absolutely everybody whether it be in the hallway or in the next room.
Such potential with the such a glorious location. I Have been coming to this hotel since it was a Howard Johnson. Hotel is functional and the Staff are absolutely wonderful. However, the building and grounds require some love/care. It is clear they are trying their best. Their advertising is not quite spot on either. They advertise a pool and restaurant, during my stays there I don't recall the pool ever being open and a bit green when water was present. My last stay, once again the restaurant was closed. Would I stay again, maybe... The rooms are functional and clean... Their prices have gone up like everywhere else, however the value vs price point has slipped a bit for me. Like said earlier, the location in absolutely wonderful. I think they may be struggling to hire and retain staff. I noticed with my last stay, there are no staff members on location after 8 pm. At least I did see any staff around. Not a problem for me, but I found that quite interesting. You all play safe, :-)
I gave Alsi all 5 stars based on the effort the owners make to welcome their guests. They work to maintain a casual atmosphere. While the guests are free to enjoy the beautiful sights. I was visiting for my brother's memorial service. The peace and serenity helped easy my pain. The laughter of children on occasion, helped too.🤣 I must not forget their sweet puppy mascot...I can't spell her name, but her greetings will be part of my treasured memories.
