When arrived, they front desk struggled a little to understand why no key was made for us but he quickly resolved it and realized they accidentally put someone else in our room. Thankfully they just put us in the others room and it was the same. Thank you for fixing it so quickly! The bathroom was a nice and big and loved that they do not have carpet in the rooms! The breakfast was good. Over all it was a good stay!
The staff were very friendly! The rooms were clean but very small and the bushes outside aren't kept up, so we didn't really have a view of the bay. Breakfast was included and good. We loved that there were 2 separate hot tubs!
Called a couple weeks in advance to make reservation, was told it would be a balcony room then. When I got here he said no, not available. Room was down in what felt like a dungeon with a window that at least opened. Very small room, only one desk chair, No elevators at this place, had to go down and up tons of stairs! Going to the pool was very inconvenient from. Where we were! Down 4 flights of stairs again! Had to go outside and through lobby too. Had to ask for pool towels from front desk and they were so thin and small. Pool area had great view and 2 hot tubs. Beds were "queen" but small! And really broke down, too soft. Overall not worth the money and we won't be back because of our unimpressed and uncomfortable stay.
Hotel lobby is really nice and parking is plentiful. But like most hotels, the rooms are what need the attention and not the lobby. Who cares about the lobby unless you plan to sleep there? The rooms are very small, well worn and not in great shape. All the rooms seem to have a balcony with a view, but some would have less of a view than others. No air conditioner but you DO NOT need one as the temperature gets really cool in the summer and at night you run the heater. Breakfast was ok but not great. Typical free breakfast, but not really free since the room was $250 for the night. Best place to stay in Florence Oregon, but there are plenty of other options along the way that are nicer.
We rented the room to specifically watch the fireworks across the river on July 4th. The view was particularly obstructed but we did see the show between two trees. Rooms were clean and decent. The bed pillows are odd...half-sized... and very uncomfortable. The front desk person when we checked in was quite efficient and friendly even though the lobby was packed with people checking in and she was on her own. The toilet failed in the morning but we were checking out anyway. Reported it to the front desk and we're told that maintenance would be informed. I assume this was so. We'll recommend it to folks visiting although it's a bit pricey but, I suppose, one is paying for the magnificent view of the Siuslaw River.
