We got this hotel for the pool. The pool was absolutely frozen. Also for the breakfasts. While breakfast was served and fine they were using saws in the area while you eat and it was extremely loud. Maybe the staff should have them hold off while there paying Guest eat breakfast. It’s only a few hours. Rooms were clean and it was a fine stay, but you pay a lot of money for a hot tub that was broken a pool on the coast that was not warm at all a breakfast that was ruined by noise.
Overall, it was a good stay, except that during the booking it wasn't advertised that the pool area is not entirely operational as well as breakfast will not be available either. For breakfast though we got a voucher for a half portion meal per person at a local cafe, worth about $5. Which is quite a rip-off, considering the room was $300! Could they get a $15 voucher instead so we could get a decent breakfast? Just call them before the booking to make sure you get what you expect to get.
It’s a clean hotel, but we didn’t know about the services that wasn’t available due to renovations currently happening. Front desk staff relocated in room 112 and they are doing their best to provide excellent service to customers. Pool area not totally operated and it’s just beside construction, so we didn’t use it. Our room was spacious but the feeling of construction work just beside you didn’t make it comfortable. Dining area is under construction, so they provide us with vouchers of specific options at across the street caffe.
Motel Reception Area and Dining Area are under renovation. Breakfast (two menu choices offered) was provided at a restaurant across the street. The motel is straight out of the 1960’s with nightmarish carpets and Motel 6 furnishings. Bathroom fan was so loud as to be unusable. Hopefully the renovation will include all the guest rooms. In the interim, book a different motel.
Horrible Experience- Go to Coos Bay or Florence instead. They recently did renovations to this hotel, but that hasn't made a single thing better. Door handles were even installed backwards, my first room had that detail. Toilets don't work properly either, as you'll see from the rest of this review. Management is the least helpful I've ever encountered in all my hotel stays. I grew up in this area and should've known better than to utilize lodging in Reedsport, but it was one night and unplanned. Don't make my mistake. This isn't some premium hotel, they'll charge premium rates and you'll receive a Motel 6 level experience. My room had a flooded toilet upon entry. I didn’t realize it was flooding until it flooded the carpet. I tried to call front desk for help as the water had completely impeded my way out of the room. No one answered. I waded through the water to shut off the toilet main and to go to the front desk. The front desk attendant was sitting there, on his personal phone, right next to the hotel phone I had just called. He comes up and gives me a new room, but at this point the water had flooded into the room of the guest below me. They came up and asked me if there were water issues and I said yes. As they were standing there talking to me I mentioned this to the staff member mopping the bathroom floor and he stated “Well they’re just gonna have to wait. I’ll cross that bridge later.” After this I received my keys to my new room, the toilet in that room also didn’t work. I was worried there was an issue with the mainline or something so I test flushed it upon entry to the room and it had started backing up... for no reason. I emailed the location directly about this problem, and they stated that it was simply "Out of their control" and basically I need to deal with it. I had tried to contact management multiple times before I made contact by email, but the listed phone number online does not work. This hotel does not have a working phone.... a hotel... does not have a working phone. Super classy. Not to mention someone’s ten year old child was literally running up and down the cement hallway outside the rooms until 3 am. I've read in other reviews that they've double charged people, accused other people of smoking in their rooms when they haven't, and there are a ton of reviews regarding lack of cleanliness. So much for the "We'll use this information to improve future stays" PR statement they put on all bad reviews eh? It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, let alone a bad review on all possible platforms. But this really aggravated me, long day of work, long drive, absolutely abysmal stay. Don’t stay here. Learn from my mistake. You’re better off driving the rest of the way to Coos Bay or Florence.
