Lovely inn overlooking the river. The rooms are nice but a bit dated. Maurice, the host, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast is served to all at 9 am. Fruit was nice but Maurice has a heavy hand with the microwave which compromises the food which would taste so much better heated up in the oven or such cooked and served.
Great Bed & Breakfast - Fantastic Hosts. I stayed at the Blue Heron Inn with my family a little while ago. Their Website Doesn't do them justice. The house is great and the rooms are very nice. Breakfast was fantastic every morning we were there. They aren't joking when they say it's gourmet. We visited Florence in July and it was a perfect getaway. The Blue Heron Inn made the getaway even better because it was up the canyon just a bit and out of town (off the 101). It is by far the best experience I have ever had at a Bed & Breakfast.
Rooms are adorable. 4 rooms. Enjoyed the company of the owners. Located 2 miles from downtown Florence. Beautiful view. Better price than a motel/hotel and you get to sit down with others for a full breakfast!
We stayed with Maurice and Stella for two nights in May 2017. The place is old but the room was charming and the breakfasts were ‘off the chart.’ We sat with them & watched fired FBI Director James Comey’s testimony...a defining moment I’ll not soon forget. Anyway, having come to Florence considering downsizing, we were disappointed with the recommended realator. Maurice shared his own recommendation. We followed his advice and I’m happy to say we’re moving to Florence the end of this month. Thanks Maurice.
Not kid-friendly, waste of time. The website lists a room with rates for 2, 3, or 4 people. And a picture of stuffed animals on twin beds. Seems ideal for children. Then when I inquired about availability he first asked who is staying before claiming that they don't really put more than 2 people in that room and don't really rent to families with children.
