We ended up getting here late so we set up in the dark at 1 in the morning. The campsites are a bit close to each other but the parking is spacious and there’s nice spaces for tents. Trucks and dune buggy’s started running at about 8am so it’s a bit noisy, but that should be expected. The bathrooms are good quality and there are showers. The camp host was very friendly and nice! He even gave us some free laundry tokens!

We come every year. The showers are kept clean as are the restrooms. The hosts are typically laid back as long as you're not making trouble. Dune access is close, with a short drive to the beach. You can hike as well, its about half a mile walk, and the hill is one to remember. A trip we look forward to every year! 2023 update- we had our first bad experience with someone stealing our gas cans on the first night. Lock your stuff up, I'm sorry to say it. But better safe than sorry. We'll be back again next season, but maybe the next folks won't.

Great for camping, the spaces are big, the showers are hot, the bathrooms are clean. The staff left us alone and we had a great time riding the dunes.

2 stars because of direct dune access, everything else is a total bummer. Cleanliness is horrible, Feces on the floor in the shower, Some campers using super loud generators all day long. I'm talking a 10,000 watt commercial grade generator to power a huge fifth wheel all day long like 8am-10pm. Noise just droning away constantly. No courtesy to bring a quiet inverter style and the hosts/rangers don't do anything about it. Facilities falling apart including speed bumps becoming detached with rods poking up to pop tires. This spot has a lot of potential but really needs someone who cares watching after it.

Not as clean as it once was. Very run down. Not as nice as the other camp grounds next door. Don't think the Forest Service likes UTVers. Never saw a Forest Service ranger the week we were there. Never saw any law enforcement either. Sure miss the old days when we would visit.
