Stayed here over Presidents’ Day weekend for a last minute trip. This was the only affordable place I could find for the night and I’m so glad I found it! Nicest motel of this tier on arguably the whole coast. Super super clean, in a way that you really never see. Host was super sweet and it’s an adorable little family run place. Would recommend to anyone and we will definitely return. Clean, simple, great.

Such wonderful staff, i.e. friendly and helpful. Very much a family atmosphere here (not corporate). So very clean, comfortable bed, large room and great ocean view from second story. I'm 73 and the stairs are perfectly built and spaced for me to climb both up and down. So glad to have discovered this place after going to the coast for decades!! Price is most reasonable!!

I read some of the previous reviews and I gather this place had a Management/style change because this hotel was perfect! The room was very clean. The office personnel are friendly and helpful with good restaurant suggestions. The location is perfect. Beds are a thick matress on a hard box, Japanese style. Firm and very comfortable. We had someone try to open our door but it was an older lady trying her key on the wrong room. Only negative is no air conditioning... so open that window and let the ocean air in... and open the bathroom window on the other side. It's not ritzy or glamorous, and no room service or restaurant on property. But it's a wonderful old fashioned hotel experience at a great location within walking distance to the beach. We would absolutely come back!

It turned out to be an oasis in many ways. I needed a repast before moving on. It was a treat to be up above with sun light through picture windows wonderful sky scapes and sunsets… very quiet place to stay - most everything within walking distance. The staff was more than accommodating. Very grateful for my experience. Jan

While the accommodations were not terrible, we did find a dirty pair of stained men’s underwear behind the futon and a dirty washcloth stuffed behind the door. Meaning the level of cleanliness was subpar. The view was “ok” but deff not on a foggy day. You see houses and nothing else. There were no screens in the second story room we stayed in either. Safety wise of a kid and animal friendly hotel, you think that would be a high priority. Also made it not as friendly to have the windows open to listen to the distant ocean. The futon was as hard as a rock and the king bed was super stiff. For $175 a night, we expected a little more for that price point. When we asked on Saturday when we checked in about best local restaurants, walking trails etc, we were given no information or places and just a “kid” drawn looking map from the snippy front desk lady.
We still made the best of our stay and found our own locations via trip advisor etc. We were just thinking the locals would have the best advice.
When this was brought up at check out, the gentleman was apologetic. And we understand good help is hard to find right now. We were offered a discount to come back but that truly serves us no purpose as we came up there only with family whom is from out of state and needed a quick hotel spot to do a last minute coastal overnight that was affordable.
