It was a very good and very clean place to stay. Only drawback was the AC wasn't working on a hot night, but everything else is really good. Parking is not a problem as there is lot of room behind the building. The guy at front desk, a gentleman from Fiji was so nice to us. They close front desk at 10, so be quick to get there if you are checking in at night. Food is not a problem as a 7-ELEVEN is close by and the place is just next door to a Safeway and Subway. Good place to stay for a night or two.
This was a nice overnight stop for us. We showed up a bit late when there was a problem with our other reservation and the gentleman who came down to help us was nice and attentive. We had two rooms, a single and a double, 212 and 216. I checked carefully and did not see any sign of pests or mold. These two rooms looked freshly painted. The towels and linens were a bit sparse, but definitely clean. No off smells. Mattress was firm but fine. The bathrooms are very small but the water pressure was good. Drain in 216 didn't work well. There was a little noise from the highway, but overall noise was not too bad for a roadside place. Didn't use any amenities. The coffee cart a block away is really good. Overall, would return for a quick overnight.
Everything was fine with the check in and stay but there's one thing to note when you're considering a stay here. I stayed on a particularly warm day and when I checked in, the first thing I looked for in the room was the air conditioner!! To my surprise, there wasn't one. I then realized that motels on the coast are not necessarily going to have a.c. My mistake for assuming otherwise but just a heads up for future visitors. I didn't think to ask but I read in the response to another review that the office will provide portable fans if needed.
It was very clean. Friendly employees. It is older and dated, but nicely redone. If it’s a view and extra amenities you are looking for, keep looking. This is barebones comfort, the price is not a bargain, $141.00 including tax. The parking lot, highway and gas station are quite noisy. Also, there is no air conditioning.
No A/C, so had to sleep with windows wide open. Since windows were wide open, I was woken up multiple times throughout the night and first thing in the morning. Mattress is super cheap, no empty clothing bag, and pretty much nothing for a shower. They have something attached to shower wall, but no idea if it's soap, shampoo, or conditioner. I slept terrible. I'll jump camp next time.
