Very nice place and great menu. Had the clam chowder with cheese bread...yummy!!! My husband had fish and chips. We went back and had the shrimp, also yummy. The dining room is not large, so if you have to wait for a table, they ask if you can wait outside and give you a buzzer when your table is ready. Food is well prepared and very good. No beer on tap but have canned to serve.
Wow this place was amazing, everything we ordered was so great! We had the supreme clam chowder that was some of the best I have ever tasted and I bought a bucket to bring home. The seafood pot pie was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The halibut fish and chips, crab sandwich and deserts were top notch as well but seriously the seafood pot pie......
I googled researched clam chowder bowls along this stretch of the Oregon Coast on the 101. We were running late to our campsite and thought picking up clam chowder on the coast en route would mean a delicious and easy to warm up dinner since it would be dark by the time we could sit down to eat. Harbor Light won and I can’t stress how important google reviews can be when making decisions on the fly like this. With so many options, I thank all my lucky stars we picked this place. Servers were welcoming and kind, bathrooms were squeaky clean and the atmosphere screamed small, local joint with a great vibe. The clam chowder was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Creamy with tons of flavor, not too salty or too anything. TRY THIS CLAM CHOWDER. Thank you Harbor Light Inn, it was the best clam chowder I’ve had in a long time if not EVER. Hand on a Bible, the BEST chowder. Excuse the pictures but we warmed it over the fire!
I had heard that this is one of the spendier restaurants in Reedsport, but I wanted to treat myself to some great Oregon Coast seafood before I leave town. It's in a quaint little building that doesn't look like much. Oh, but once you're inside you're greeted to a wonderful ambiance that includes indoor and outdoor seating. Vacillating back and forth between the 1/3 pound elk burger and my purpose for coming here, something with seafood in it. I asked the waiter "so what are your signature dishes here?" Without a moment's hesitation he said the seafood pot pie is incredible," so that's what I ordered. Let me tell you, if you like seafood, if you like clam chowder GET THIS DISH. You won't be disappointed. Instead of a heavy pie crust, the pot pie is served with a puffed pastry on. To me it's a nice touch. Puff pastries easier on the belly and it soaks up the seafood chowder, thick with chunks of at least three kinds of seafood if not more.
Stopped in here for lunch during a recent coast trip on a random recommendation from a coworker's son. It's a super cute little place. I'd already been scoping out the menu online after receiving the recommendation and decided I had to try the clam chowder supreme. Best. Decision. Ever. It's a nice, hearty clam chowder but it's topped with shrimp, crab, and (Tillamook?) cheddar. Zero calories, obviously ;). Oh my goodness, it was so good. And of course the bread that came with it was delicious as well. I'll have to go back sometime because there were lots of other things I wanted to try. You can buy chowder in bulk to take home, and they also offer a variety of pies and desserts. I'm definitely glad I stopped in!
