I stayed at the campground for a couple of nights, and while it was definitely a little loud on the weekend, it was very quiet and peaceful from Sunday to Monday. There are quite a few trails that branch off from the campground directly, including the titular Lagoon Trailhead, and the campground is only about half a mile from the main entrance to the beach area. I will say the beach entrances were slightly confusing during the time I was there because they had part of it roped off for a particular bird that was nesting. I had my dog with me, so some of the signage was a unclear as to where she could and could not go. But thankfully a ranger was there to help point out what areas were off-limits to dogs and where we were allowed to meander. Other than that, it was a nice area. Some of the campsites were more exposed than others, so I'd recommend doing a little research on the Recreation.gov app or web site. My particular site was perfectly nestled in the trees, so I had plenty of privacy. All in all, not a bad campsite and a nice place to explore. Plus you're right by the sand dunes, if you happen to be into any ATV activities.

The Lagoon Loop Interpretive Trail is an easy loop trail that provides wetland wildlife viewing on boardwalks throughout the loop. It is a very informative and enjoyable trail with information boards, viewing stops and benches along the way. The Lagoon Campground: Amenities include flush toilets, drinking water from a pressurized system, picnic tables and fire rings with grills. Parking aprons are paved. A dump station is located less than 4 miles away at Honeyman State Park. Wildlife is abundant in the campground and along the Lagoon trail, attracting many photographers. Native inhabitants include beavers, nutrias, ducks, herons, and bitterns - a waterfowl relative of the heron.

This is a really sweet campground located on the Oregon Coast. The campsites are pretty small but they have plumbing (toilets, no showers) which was nice. The close beach is really amazing. Really soft sand, an abundance of shells and other things to see, and a snowy plover nesting area. Sunset was awesome and there were some fireworks the night of the 4th of July.
