Great swimming hole! No reception, only toilets are at the parking lot. Path across the street and along the railing until you get to some steep stairs. Bring a backpack! Way too hard to manage a cooler. Waterfall and swimming hole with a rope climb at the top, climb along some big fun rocks to the right to get to the slide. Be careful when jumping in, there are underwater rocks and rock shelf’s in areas. Water is wonderfully deep.
This is such a fun place to spend the day! The main swimming hole is large and deep enough that you can touch. There is some cliff jumping as well as a bunch of rocks to hang out and sunbathe on. A little further downstream is the water slide! So much and and very safe. Can do with or without a tube, but it is more fun with in my opinion. It got a bit crowded as the day went on but never too many people and everyone was so nice and respectful!
Lovely fenced stroll along highway. Stairs (some railings missing) down to main falls where there is an old "fish ladder" and water empties into a "pool" and continues on. People were jumping off rocks and swimming. Looked refreshing. Must be a local "swimming hole". Public pit toilets and small parking area across road to trail. Scenic.
It's beautiful, magic even. But if you aren't local, don't go. You won't be welcome and will be made very uncomfortable.
Took the family here on a Sunday afternoon. Beautiful drive to a small parking lot on the side of the highway. Don't miss it. Then crossed the road and walked a path to some fairly steep stairs. These lead down to the creek and a nice swimming hole with boulders everywhere. You can run around on these all over. If you go upstream you'll find some nice falls. They weren't flowing very hard and it was beautiful. Nice place to spend a day.
