Quaint little gem in a lovely town. The innkeeper was so amazing at his job. We felt welcome and really enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast was great. Beds were comfy. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute place with vintage/ antique charm. Staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, Room 38 has Black mold in the bathroom. Very dangerous. To the staff, black mold is very easy to clean up with mold removing spray!! Please clean the black mold!! Hotel is great otherwise. The waffles were really good. Location is good. If it weren't for the imposed danger & unsanitary conditions, this would be a five star for me.

Not what we expected. We were expecting a quaint and nostalgic experience and a comfortable stay at a historic inn. What we felt that we received was an overnight stay at a consignment store for elderly people. The staff was nice, the sheets were clean, and the floors were vacuumed mostly. If this were a budget hotel, then we would have considered that we got what we paid for. Considering that we paid considerably more, we felt the need to at least notify others of our experience. The first thing we noticed was the smell. It smelled like an elderly home estate sale. Opening the windows was a necessity to air it out. Because it was cold outside we needed heat. The heater was an electric heater that looked like it was from the 50’s. It did a poor job heating the room. The beds were hard, lumpy and squeaky. The pillows were flat and there was not enough of them. The bathrooms had been cleaned, but the tiles grout was severely stained. Stains were everywhere. Ceilings, walls, carpet, sheets, furniture… dilapidation and lack of care was evident everywhere. But, at least we had breakfast to look forward to in the morning. Oh yeah, the breakfast. There was a waffle maker with batter. That was fine. You had eggs cooked to order as long as you liked scrambled eggs. A hockey puck flavored biscuit and gravy with a side of banana was also available and that was it. Don’t expect a continental breakfast. Juice, milk and Folgers coffee were the beverages. The eating arrangements were relatively clean but were had full view of the kitchen that looked like a hoarder was storing egg cartons and boxes for the upcoming apocalypse. Needless to say, my family was a bit upset. We paid for two days, but my family refused to stay there for a second night. So we dropped off our key at the front desk and left. Yes it is a physical key. Not a big deal but there is a $250 dollar fee if you lose it. Just a heads up. There is a no refund policy, so we didn’t even bother to ask to get any sort of refund for leaving early. Nor was a refund offered by the manager either as we checked out. We just went to a different hotel and had a much better experience there for the same price. Hope this helps.

We stayed at Florence Lighthouse Inn and had a mixed but ultimately improved experience. Our initial room had some significant issues—the shower wasn’t working and the air vent was very noisy, which made it uncomfortable for my family. After raising our concerns, the team responded and moved us to a much better suite. We do appreciate the effort, though moving luggage with the family was not ideal, and we were left wondering why the better room wasn’t assigned from the start. Breakfast was okay but quite limited compared to other hotels. There wasn’t a menu, and we had to request items. The coffee and waffles were good, but options overall were minimal. We tried the biscuits and gravy (which seem popular), but it wasn’t to our taste. I requested an omelet, and while they kindly prepared it, it didn’t turn out great. In the end, we actually had to go out for a second breakfast to start our day properly. That said, I want to give special recognition to Eric, who genuinely tried his best to help and made a positive difference in our stay. Overall, the experience improved after the room change, and with some consistency in room readiness and breakfast quality, this place could be much better.

Quaint stay with lovely staff! Every detail in the lobby and rooms was a cherry on top. The person at the front desk was very kind and their hospitality did not falter!! Inn’s location was perfect for exploring downtown Florence and surrounding areas. Not to mention the biscuits and gravy- seriously can’t wait to come back :)
