It's a nice place with a nice lodge and lake. If you are looking for a quiet camping experience you definitely do not want to go here on a holiday weekend. There were obnoxiously loud vehicles going in and out all hours of the day and night. We were happy if people turned their music down by 11:00. Sorry, Just wasn't our cup of tea.

Rented the guest house for July 4th weekend. Took my family and 7 of my sons friends and had a blast. House sleeps 12-14 easy. Full kitchen with all the supplies needed to cook most any meal including a gas BBQ grill. Home comes with its own private boat dock that we tied up our boat to the whole weekend. My sons and their friends all enjoyed our holiday here very much.

What started off as an exciting weekend, it quickly turned bad. I rented a cabin for my family to stay in. I was glad to hear that the cabins had air condition so I brought my elderly mother so she can enjoy the weekend with us. We checked in around 5:40 and headed to the cabin. It was a nice set up, the space was as expected. But the air conditioner didn't work, and it was a sauna inside! I walked around our site and found a water line was leaking on the side of the cabin and the entire ground was completely saturated and it was a muddy mess around the picnic table and fire pit. I went back up to the office, but they close at 6! There was a number to call but no cell service. So, we were stuck to deal with these issues till morning. The next morning i went to the office and they were aware of both the air conditioners and leaky water pipe and there was nothing they could do about it. The water leak can't be fixed till the summer season was over. They could have offered a discount! We determined to enjoy ourselves. The beach area is very small. Other campers had claimed their spot with shade tents and left it there all weekend. So, you really couldn't enjoy it. We spent our second day on the lake which was great. The water was refreshing in the hot day and the views were beautiful. We decided to tie our boat to the dock, get a quick bite to eat and get back on the lake. But the kid working the dock cut the rope and the boat drifted away! When asked why cause were coming right back. He yelled and said the docks are for rental boats. This being my first time here, I wasn't aware of that. I told him that he could have said something when he saw us leave it there, but he didn't. This kid was extremely rude, yelled and caused a big scene. He told me if i didn't like it, to take it up with management. But of course, the office was closed because it was after 6 and really what good would that have done. Another thing that surprised me was the way the staff was talking about their guests. While in the store a guest came in and mentioned that the tv didn't work. The staff blew him off similar to my issues and the guest left upset. After he did the office staff spoke very badly of him and said only overweight people complain about a tv not working. It was shocking to hear them speak so badly about guests in front of other guests! People pay to stay here and to enjoy all the amenities. I was very disappointed with the management of this place. From the condition of my rental, lack of attention to maintenance and the don't give a sh*t attitude of the staff. As beautiful as the location is, I will not go back!

We stayed in the motel, which was great and super quiet at night. But the rest of the campground, boat dock area, marina, was a pretty loud party all the times we went by. Great if you want music, fun, and drinking - but not so fun if you want peace and quiet and the natural sounds of the lake.

My family had such a good time at this place. We LOVE escaping to the mountains and this was like “glamping” (which I love to do) we stayed in their original fisherman’s cottages which I thought were SO cute and charming. Older but perfectly comfortable. And one night in their hotel which was also great. I’d love to stay in the tiny cabins or yurts next time. I love that there were things for us to rent like boats, paddle boards and so much more. The mountains were beautiful and peaceful, the owner and workers there were SO nice and accommodating. We forgot fire wood and a lighter so we bought some wood there and the couple of young gentlemen who work there brought it down to our cottage right away and let us borrow their lighter and told us to use it as long as we needed. Everyone was so nice, it was affordable, it was a beautiful place. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a family friendly mountain getaway!
