This place was a dream. We stayed in the Eagle unit. It was so beautiful. The views were stunning! The entire property is stunning. The grounds were a great place for our toddler to run around. The beach was empty and so peaceful. Tons of spots for tide pooling. Great rock hunting too!
The bedrooms were cozy. The bed itself was super comfortable. I would suggest bringing your own pillow though if you’re 30+ 😂, but poor pillows seem to be universal in hotels/vacation rentals, so I won’t hold it against them.
The home was well equipped with everything we needed. We had a wonderful, relaxing, memorable family vacation and we will 100% return to this house if we visit Yachats again.

Beautiful place BUT the checkin process is horrible, we lost water for a few hours and we got robbed. It wasn't a big deal because apparently the guy was homeless and only stole food and toiletries. After hours management was notified of the robbery and they assured us the owner would be informed. We have yet to hear back from anyone. Just a call to get an understanding of the circumstances would have been nice.

The location of Oregon House is fantastic—great views of the ocean, with benches set up perfectly to enjoy the scenery and a stairway leading down to the beach. The bed is spacious and comfortable, and the whole unit is cozy for two people. We appreciated the living room couch that could be converted into a bed, making it easy to relax and watch TV.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The walls are very thin, so we could hear our neighbors even when they were just walking around. While the place was mostly clean, it wasn’t spotless; a couple of utensils and cups hadn’t been properly washed, and the two extra blankets had noticeable stains, which made us wonder how recently they’d been cleaned. The TV in our unit had a black line running across the screen, which was disappointing for watching shows. Finally, there were quite a few ants around the bathroom door, and despite cleaning, they kept returning.
Overall, Oregon House is in a beautiful spot with some nice amenities, but a bit more attention to cleanliness and upkeep would make it a much better experience.

We love Oregon House. Have been coming here for 37 years, off & on. We stay at The Cottage. It is a small little cabin with a king-sized bed, gorgeous views of the ocean & spectacular sunsets - providing the sky is not too cloudy. It doesn't matter because you are on the beach. A short walk to the walkway & down a little slope & then stairs & you step onto one of the prettiest beaches in Oregon. The great thing is that each unit has a kitchen. You can cook your own meals if you want. The Cottage has been updated & is not quite as comfy as it used to be. Years ago, there was a comfy loveseat, no TV, a small range to cook on. There is a smart TV with ROKU, a taller table in the 'kitchen' with one stool & a larger round table in the 'living room' with two padded chairs. The bathroom has been updated in a modern style, which is a great improvement over the old one.
The grounds are beautiful. There are benches around a large piece of grass, flowering plants, fir trees, & other coastal plants & shrubs. Even though Highway 101 is just above the property, the sounds of the ocean waves drown out any loud vehicles.
Check-in is at 5 p.m. come any earlier & you won't be able to get in your unit. Check out is at 11 a.m. You must lock your door by 11, or you might have to pay for another night. There are no staff here other than to clean after guests have left. Cell service is spotty, but there is strong WiFi to connect your devices.
There are 9 short-term rental units (all oceanfront) contained in 5 different buildings. The units consist of 4 studio units, 4 one bedroom units, and one 3 bedroom unit. So you can pick your favorite place to stay.

We have had a great experience overall. The directions given in the email really helped us to find the location while traveling in the dark. The instructions for the lock box and other details were helpful as well. We love the room and the set up and all of the things offered here. You could tell that the space was well cleaned and well taken care of. The view is great and the natural light is beyond nice. We would definitely come back!!
