Worst Camp host ever… I shouldn’t have ignored the previous reviews. I have never been treated the way the camp host treated me. She was passive aggressive and projecting her previous experiences on us... seems like she does this to most guests. My group was more than willing to obey the camp rules.. that continued to change and differed from the rules posted. I guess children giggling and chopping wood are not aloud while camping now. We gave her no trouble and yet she continued to try and escalate the situation. We left a day early do to the harassment from the camp host. The host shouldn’t be working with the public.

If you are going to visit sea lion cave, this is a really nice place to stay over night. Pretty close to 101 and a few miles from sea lion cave. The manager guy is very nice. Clean and beautiful campsites.

This is the best of both environments - mossy big pine forest and stream, just a short walk to a beautiful Oregon coast beach. This summer's hosts were so helpful and did a great job of keeping the pit toilet clean. There is water in two sections of this small campground, but only one toilet. Most sites are very private, but the front site #2 is very exposed. Very quiet base camp within convenient drives to look lovely locations along the coast. The only downside was that the front sites were very windy all 4 days we were there. Evenso, we plan to return to this great location and quiet, secluded campground.

During the off season this is a very nice hike along the creek. You can park outside the gate along Hwy 101 and follow the road into the campground. About 1.5 miles, round-trip.

Wow! I just had to change my review. We have driven through this campground. Looking to see if they had any available spots. We have stayed there a total of 2 nights. There is a 14 day limit in the forest system. We have stayed a total of 10 nights in the entire forest system. We recently moved back home to Oregon. We have spent a lot of time enjoying nature with kids and grandkids. The park manager was so rude, she assumed we were homeless. Said we would be given a ticket and told to move along. She would not let is explain or speak. She even said this was not an alternative to affordable housing. We will not be going there again.
