I rented a kayak and paddled down the river to the ocean. Absolutely worth it! Such a pleasant experience seeing the trees, sand dunes, flowering shrubs, and many varieties of birds!
It's a super doable paddle, even for beginners. Don't let the portage scare you! You will just have to scooch up onto a concrete pad, drag your kayak over, and get back in. The water is still and not deep where you portage.
When you arrive at the rental location, it will look like a motel/rv park- don't worry, you're in the right place. There is a small sign about the kayak rentals and a box of flyers by the door. Ring the doorbell if no one is around and they will come right out and help you. The owners were very sweet and helpful. 10/10

Was visiting the Oregon coast with friends and found this amazing place to rent kayaks at. The staff were so wonderful and friendly and got us all set up with all the equipment we needed. The option to kayak to the lake or to the beach was amazing. Goregous views as your out on the water and so much fun. Will definitely be back!

We love renting kayaks here! The service is always so friendly, welcoming and informative. And nothing beats a slow float on the Siltcoos River on a hot day. The kayaks are very comfortable and easy to use for a beginner.

Relaxed and fun! Was able to capture some wildlife with my camera along the way. The waters were calm and the beach and the end was a nice way to cap the ride! Was a great first time kayaking experience for me.

My Husband and I rented a kayak here. Really nice people, very helpful. The rental includes everything you need: paddles, life vest and optionally a waterproof bag. We paddled all the way up the river to the beach, it took about 2 hrs to get there. Very beautiful scenery, nice and relaxing.
