Beautiful view from the top. But be ready to climb uphill from the parking lot, in the sand.
Massive dunes, expansive beaches, and a wide open sky just begging to be filled with kites. I can't believe that this beach was deserted like it was — the sand was really nice, the water pretty warm (for Pacific NW coastal waters), and plenty of parking in different areas. Keep in mind that to get to the beach, you do need to traverse a 100+ foot high sand dune to get over to the beach — but it's totally worth it.
I stopped at 6 &7 both to several mins to get to the beach. 4 was only 5 mins to the top of the hill and had a great vantage point!
I was working in Florence slept in my car there 3 nights nobody bothered me at all
Being from NC, this was a completely different beach experience. Huge dunes and no houses/condos at the waters edge. Reminds me of when I was younger and SC beaches were that way...
