Massive dunes, expansive beaches, and a wide open sky just begging to be filled with kites. I can't believe that this beach was deserted like it was — the sand was really nice, the water pretty warm (for Pacific NW coastal waters), and plenty of parking in different areas.
Keep in mind that to get to the beach, you do need to traverse a 100+ foot high sand dune to get over to the beach — but it's totally worth it.

I stopped at 6 &7 both to several mins to get to the beach. 4 was only 5 mins to the top of the hill and had a great vantage point!

Being from NC, this was a completely different beach experience. Huge dunes and no houses/condos at the waters edge. Reminds me of when I was younger and SC beaches were that way...

Dedicated hike in and out up a big sandy dune but the views and the atmosphere are amazing and make it worth the climb at the end of a long beach day. It's a great spot to collect shells watch the boats and build sand castles.

Absolutely stunning views here. I wish I'd found this earlier on in my trip, I'd have spent a lot more time here!
