If I could give them 10 stars, I would!
We ate at the Drift Inn Café today, and everything was absolutely delicious! We shared the calamari, and it was off the charts—perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful.
My husband loved his halibut fish and chips. The fish was tender, flaky, and cooked just right, while the fries were piping hot and super tasty.
I had the chicken bowl with their homemade teriyaki sauce over jasmine rice. The vegetables were cooked to perfection—crisp and fresh, never soggy.
I can't say enough good things about our lunch. Every dish exceeded our expectations!
Our server, Ashley, was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
We will definitely be back!

Really lovely place to eat! There’s a big variety of food options, including GF and vegan. I got the Mediterranean burger with halibut and it was delicious! They make their own buns. The atmosphere is really lovely too, such a pretty indoor/outdoor seating area. Nice staff. Definitely would go back and probably will. :)

Udate: I went back again and discovered some of the best crab cakes and confirmed that their wild caut Halibut fish and chips are the best and not a fluke.
Are you interested in having some of the BEST gluten free fish and chips of your lifetime? Because at The Drift Inn they make it happen. First let's talk about Wild Caight Halibut as the fish. That's right. Not Cod but firm, delicious, and heavenly Halibut battered and fried to the perfect crunch on the outside and moist on the inside. Now if that didn't sell you, their French fries are killer. Litterally the best French fries I have ever had. It's not just some fried potato sticks. My wife and I speculated thay they took the fluffiest mashed potatoes in the world and made them into fries, until we saw the skins still on the potatoes! We asked a waitress to solve our mystery. They season the fries and freeze them not once but twice. It's the perfect crunch on the outside and the impossible fluffiness potato on the inside. Their tarter sauce is the heavenly partner to both fish and chips. If I ever only have to eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be this meal.
This is going to be the new benchmark of fish and chips for the rest of my life. I am completely and happily ruined.
I did not stay at this place. Only ate the restaurant. Now I will have to come back and stay. They also have the prettiest bathroom I have ever seen.
And they have beautiful outside seating complete woth koi fish pond at your feet.

The restaurant is a celiacs / artists dream find. Though not dedicated it is adorable. Delicious. I think the eggs and steak needed to be ordered 1 level more done than you want. But that could just be this chef(not sure) also the food needed a bit more salt— but I like food rather salty. it really was a wonderful experience. I was excited to find a stage and adorable patio. We have got to come back. I bought this picture and the price is very reasonable for an original. Also look at these adorable leather menus.

So this is a hard review to write.
The food was 5/5 and delicious. we had fish and chips, spicy sausage pasta dish, salmon and steak on the table everyone enjoyed their meals. Thanks cooks.
My problem is with the server and the mandatory 20% auto gratuity added no matter what.
Our server was a Young lady didn’t remember her name Lots of tattoos tho. She was very far from happy, didn’t check up on us at all and service was 0 out of 10. She had an attitude like we were inconveniencing her. So not worth the mandatory 20% tip. she made $50-60 of our table for what work, writing down 5 orders and a few drinks and delivering half the food that she forgot we’re it went? No pre busing no watering the table “no hey you want more drinks”. ( the busier, water girl was amazing fyi )(owners) I have spent the last 10 years in service industry and understand (I’m a busy server or I can’t be bothered server). the mandatory 20% is Absolutely unacceptable for what service we received.
