We generally stop here for lunch when driving up the coast. They have very good food and we have always had good service. But today our service was below par!!! We sat on the outside patio and seemed like we were in a vortex. The server seemed to ignore us and always came to our table last. Never asked if we needed anything more, wanted dessert, or drink refills. We finally had to let her know we were ready to leave. She tap, tap, tapped her little device never told us the total but quickly said the 20% tip was already included and handed me the device just to push ok!!!?? It was just my husband and I and we split a lunch so 20% was a bit steep?! Never had that happen before anywhere and nowhere did it say that 20% was the desired tip. I wasn’t about to embarrass myself so I just tapped and left. Had to look at my bank to even see what the total was. Which by the way was too much in my mind for a shared lunch. Figured a negative review was better than nothing. So not saying don’t eat here Just saying not happy how our server treated us today.

What a spectacularly quirky spot. The Drift Inn is a collection of unique buildings. We stayed in the “Top of the World” room with an amazing view of the ocean right across the street. This suite would be perfect for a family since it has a full kitchen and two rooms. The decor is eclectic and inviting. Too tired to cook? We had great dinners and breakfast at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and ready to help with anything. Would definitely stay again, but for a longer period of time.

We stopped on Friday at 1:30 for lunch. Didn't seem too busy, but service was really, really slow. 90 minutes for lunch? Sat on the patio. Ambiance was nice, water bowls near several of the tables welcomed dogs. Food was exceptional. Steak salad was by far beyond what I expected. 20% gratuity added to all bills was clearly posted and stated by server. Our only disappointment was the very, very slow service. I noticed similar service to other patrons, too. Even after the meal was done, and we were sitting waiting, it was several minutes, though the server passed by a few times. Makes me wonder if the tip was separate if the service would have been better. Not sure we'll pay those prices for subpar service.

Wow. I cannot say enough about how amazing this gem is. We went back twice. Totalling 3 visits for our 3 day get away in Yachats. First time we had dinner. Husband ordered Zoe Burger with beef, he practically licked the plate. I stole a lot of his sweet potato fries. Pot pie was also delicious, it came with a side salad. I’m typically a ranch girlie but something told me to get one of the vinaigrettes, it did not disappoint. We shared a bottle of wine on the patio/in the garden. We also shared the calms as an app and the caramel cheese cake for dessert. Next time we went back was for brunch. I have chicken fried steak and eggs - as a southerner I was impressed. Husband had the chicken and waffles - clean plate club.

We just stopped in for dinner on our way back to Central Oregon. There were six people, and we all enjoyed our food. I had the pork tacos and the meat was actually really dry (like I got the very end of the pan or it had been exposed to air for a while, and while that was disappointing the rest of the ingredients were so fresh and tasty I ate it anyways) I would eat here again. Cute gift shop and clean bathrooms as well.
