We loved this place. It was way better than any hotel. Ms. Margaret was so sweet, and her husband was awesome to. Their hospitality was so welcoming. If and when we get to go back, that's where we're staying. They were such a blessing. And we will always keep them in our prayers.

Absolutely loved this place. The upstairs has been transformed into a charming and cozy château, with all the comforts. The host, Margaret, is a total gem - she made sure we felt right at home.

My boyfriend and I stayed there a couple of years ago. He was a hunter and we were camping for about a week. We came across a man in the woods terrorizing us. Went to the b&b for safety. Their room was right next to us. I heard her insult how I looked,(I had been camping for a week). The next morning No breakfast, was told she was out shopping.

Our family had a great experience lodging in this unique place! It's located right across the Umpqua river. Our kids had a wonderful time running around in the river where the water was so low and warm. It's our greatest pleasure meeting the owners Jim and Margaret, and a great friend who was so kind and generous to invite us for dinner. I would like to thank Margaret for helping us do the laundry and even fold the clean clothes!!We felt so warm and grateful to meet such great people on our road trip with three young children. Amazing place with amazing people! We would like to come back again if we are traveling along Umpqua River!

The River Inn along the beautiful Umpqua River in Elkton is a must-stay for a quick stopover or a long, relaxing weekend. Margaret immediately arranged our accommodations and oriented us to all the amenities in her beautifully restored and uniquely decorated Victorian home. I personally enjoyed the jet tub, comfortable bed, coffee nook, the river view and the sounds of rushing water. This is a local gem, and a wonderful traveler's rest.
