Loved this place! The owner was friendly and played with our dog when we checked in. The room was very thoughtfully and creatively decorated. It was certainly not your typical hotel/motel aesthetic and after more than a week of that, the quirky/creative aesthetic was quite a pleasant departure! It’s walking distance to restaurants, shops and coffee shops. I would definitely stay here again!

Clean comfortable and very spacious rooms. The only minor thing was that after my wife had a shower the water wasn't as hot for me. Plenty warm enough just not quite hot. Definitely will stay there again! The price was very reasonable too!

We initially booked at the Yatel Motel because of its affordable rates for summer at the Oregon coast. It turned out to be a lovely overnight stay. The room was spacious, beds were very comfortable, it was very quiet at night, the cable channels included lots beyond basic cable, and the owner was kind enough to give us a personal introduction to the room (how to use remote, etc.).
My husband's review: "clean, comfortable, everything you need for a good night's sleep off the road."
PLUS!! Right next door is LeRoy's Blue Whale Restaurant which cooked up a hearty delicious breakfast with great service! (They do lunch and dinner too.)

It was a treat to stay at a small motel with personality, history and character. Stylistically, I loved the decor and the thought put into the room. The place was not trying to be hip, pedaling things or trying to be socially trendy. The Yatel was authentic and real as it's staff.

I'm so, SO happy I found the Yatel. I visit Yachats regularly for work and often need a place where I can do the odd combination of working remotely on good WIFI, being within walking distance of food (excellent, happy food), having a gorgeous place to stretch my legs, and sleeping well. It's all possible here. There are fridges, coffee makers, microwaves, and plenty of room to spread out. The owners are so nice and go above and beyond to make sure you're comfy and settled, the rates are more than reasonable, parking is easy, and the location can't be beat. Some of the rooms even allow a peek at the ocean. I'm already planning on coming back here for vacation with my family and dog as well. Hooray for the Yatel!
