When my husband and I arrived, soaking wet from a rain storm, the nice lady was having problems with the credit card machine. She graciously gave my husband the key so he could start unloading. Her boss came down to help her and started chastising and belittling her in front of me. It was embarrassing for myself and her. The room was cold and did not have weather stripping or a door sweep on the door. We were freezing all night even with two extra blankets. It was advertised as having free continental breakfast. There was none and we were not informed of this. We paid $136. for what I consider a $75. room. Fool me once…
WORST hotel EVER! Save yourself the waste of money and go to reedsport for a hotel. This is by far the worst stay ever and not even close to worth the money wasted. The bed was wet and it was 11pm when we finally noticed and my three year old was tired and their office was closed. We said we would talk to them in the morning and the office was closed again. We had to leave so we tried calling several times and no Answer. Finally the lady answered and she said she would talk to the owner. My other half checked in with her HOURS later and she admitted she hadn’t even called the owner. And then proceeded to call me a liar and said she didn’t believe me that the bed wasn’t wet. And when we asked to talk to the owner she said no. We own a business and this is 100% not how we would treat our customers.
The room was clean. Microwave and refrigerator clean. However, the microwave cord was too short to plug in. The very nice office staff brought us a cord that worked. The hotel is in a great location. 👍 downside: The bed was very firm, hard for me, not very home, no pictures on walls. Very outdated furniture.
The front host was nice and professional and location is convenient to the dunes but the room definitely needs improvements. The thermostat in the room was terrible, the worst part was that no matter what temperature you set it to, it'll keep running until you manually turn it off, so the night was a ruined because of that, waking up being way too hot.. Also, the ceiling in the shower was stained, and the shower drain was clogged. Overall, not worth paying $180 for a Friday night.
Woman who took the reservation never wrote it down. Fortunately, the man who checked us in found us a room. After I showed on my cell that I had called. Bed was fine, futon instead of a sofa was miserable to sit on in front of TV. Clean room, kitchenette. No coffee for the coffee maker. Like a faded movie star out of date and dying a slow death. The included breakfast was cereal, bread, bread with frosting or bagels. Orange colored water? to drink. Cute wallpaper. If it weren't for the gentleman who was so nice I would have gone elsewhere. For this we paid $185 for 2 people for 1 night.
